After the heart has been restarted,the victim needs
to be stabilized and transported to a hospital for
additional treatment and care.Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) includes airway intubation for
ventilation,drug therapies,monitoring, and other
advanced skills. Many communities are working to
incorporate these advanced skills and procedures
into their emergency response programs.
